I wrote previously that offline travel agents are doomed as a result of the change towards Internet based reservations (either with online travel agents - or more direct to product principals)
Now it appears they may be fine after all - as it is the Internet that is doomed!
The BBC have reported from the Davos World Economic Forum 2007 some interesting comments made by Vint Cert that between 100 to 150 million of the global 600 million Internet connected computers are under the control of criminals. Vint Cert was one of the inventors of TCP/IP - the core of what makes networks and machines talk to each other - so he knows what he is talking about (I hope)
One attack using this kind of network once took up 15% of Yahoos’s search processing capacity.
