Integrated card swiping (CardFlight)
Card Present transactions via mag-stripe swiping readers is supported via integration with CardFlight.
CardFlight supports many US merchant processors plus Stripe. So, while it's primarily US focused it can also be used in locations that Stripe supports where mag-stripe swiping is acceptable.
Ordering CardFlight devices
Ensure you are using one of the supported processors. If you are ordering a small quantity then order a "Test Kit" (don't worry, they can process real transactions) directly from CardFlight. The current cost is $99 per device which includes 12 months service. There is no per transaction fee for using CardFlight - you will just pay what you would normally to your merchant processor for "Card Present" transactions.
Configuring CardFlight
Contact TourCMS Support to configure CardFlight. Our team will request some information about your merchant account, configure processing with CardFlight and then your devices will be automatically configured for credit card processing.
Alternatives to CardFlight
We are evaluating options for providing integrated EMV (chip and pin) capable payments.
One option currently is to let the Point of Sale calculate the total amount due, process externally using a credit card terminal and once processed it's just a couple of taps in Point of Sale to record the payment and confirm the booking.
