On the 17th of December last year (just a couple of weeks ago) I promised that I would leave websites to mature a little before I review them….. as this is only fair. (Read my promise)
However, just how long should someone like me leave it before it is safe to review a new site? You want to review it before someone else does (see I can be competitive when I want to) but you want to let people actually get their site to finished state before you jump in…. (but then risk others getting there first)
My theory is that as soon as someone issues their first press release they are probably ready for prime time.
Anyway, is it still too early to review the new Travel Trade Gazette social network for travel agents? (YourSpace-TTGlive.com). As far as I can see, it looks like the bubble wrapping hasn’t been removed yet. Indeed, there is quite a bit of greek text all over the place. Some of the photos are also distinctly dubious - but maybe this is what travel agents are into.
Key functionality appears to be based around the principle of “Fams Reunited” - which is a mechanism to meet up with other travel agents that you went on a fam trip with. Not my cup of tea, but maybe this appeals to the target market.
I am not going to write anything until it is launched fully…… but for those with an enquiring mind (and an interest in what the Travel Trade Gazette are upto (one of the two UK travel industry magazines for travel agents)) - it is maybe worth a quick peek
