Phew - Travel Technology Show 2008 over

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Got back late last night from exhibiting at the Travel Technology Show in London where I have been for the last couple of days.

I won’t bore you with what we got upto personally save for one highlight - belly dancers on the Tuesday evening at the not to be missed CousCous Darna in South Kensington (a couple of miles away from the show in Earls Court)

From a business perspective it was, I think, a great success. Most of the time we had people queuing to talk to us on the stand….. which was a bit scary. Indeed, on the Wednesday evening with the show to close at 5 pm, our neighbouring stands started to break down at about quarter to the hour…..but even then we had two sets of new interested tour operators come by and talk to us…. we were still talking to them at 10 past 5 with destruction all around us!

However, I must make an apology to one of this blog’s readers. Several people came past saying they enjoy the blog (and thank you for that!)…… however I was a bit “short” with someone who is a subscriber because I had people queuing to talk about our system…. and I am afraid that this was my priority. You know who you are. Sorry about that.

Next year? Yes - however not sure our neighbouring stands will be too happy to see us back…. as we tended to spill out into the aisle rather a lot

Finally, on the swag front (you may recall I asked a few weeks ago what would make the most appropriate swag) - we didn’t give out anything in the end….(boring I hear you say) - however the best swag I saw was a stand near us who were giving out gold watches. Umm…. Must look at the budget again.
