If you had one question for Google - what would it be?

Friday, May 16th, 2008

We know Google is important to the modern travel industry…. indeed - in a previous post I wrote an overview on how important Google has become in recent times (Would your business cope if Google stopped sending you free traffic?)

If you had one question to ask Google about what their plans are - what would it be?

  • Something to do with the trademark (UK) discussion? (companies now permitted, by Google, to bid on trademarked terms)
  • Why Google Checkout doesn’t accept merchant accounts from travel companies?
  • What are Google’s plans for Google Base? (has some travel data in - but not much)
  • etc.

What would be your question?

The reason I ask is that in 4 weeks time the TTI (Travel Technology Initiative, UK) are organising an event called “A morning with Google Travel” (17th June, ABTA offices London, registration required)

From Google will be

  • Daniel Robb - Head of Travel
  • Miranda Gowlland, Key Account Manager, Travel
  • Anna Tong, Account strategist

They will be each be making a short presentation outlining their roles - followed by questions & answers from 3 expert questioners - and the audience.

I am going to be on the “expert” panel - and I will put as many sensible questions as I can…. so go on - what would be your question?
